In 2001, Patrick Field had the original idea to create plastic wine bottles for the airlines after the September 11th attacks.

He designed and began manufacturing 187 ml bottles for his first winery customer. His lightweight bottle was the first to hit the marketplace.

In 2007, he formed a partnership with Ken Merrill. Since then, the business has grown to offer larger sizes (750 ml & Litre) and specialty formats.

In 2009, EnVino was officially born.

About Patrick Field: In addition to founding EnVino Bottles, Patrick Field actively works with his mother, Nina Field, to run Field Vineyards.  They own vineyards in Alexander Valley, Sonoma Valley and Mendocino.  Field Vineyards produces Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes.  The majority of the fruit is sold to wineries, but they also reserve grapes to craft the highly acclaimed Katarina wines.
