In 2001, Patrick Field had the original idea to create plastic wine bottles for the airlines after the September 11th attacks.

He designed and began manufacturing 187 ml bottles for his first winery customer. His lightweight bottle was the first to hit the marketplace.

In 2007, he formed a partnership with Ken Merrill. Since then, the business has grown to offer larger sizes (750 ml & Litre) and specialty formats.

In 2009, EnVino was officially born.
